Make New Friends

One of the pluses of online dating is that sometimes the people you meet become good friends. I've had this happen a couple of times, and the friendships have lasted for years. If you hit it off, but the chemistry isn't there, or you have different life plans, consider making that person a friend rather than just blowing off a relationship entirely.
Sometimes friends are better than lovers.
